binding books By ck

Our school has a machine that we can use to place pages into one of those plastic curly things (like a spiral but it doesn't spiral, understand me?) Obviously your school must not have such a thing or you wouldn't be asking, right? If you're only looking at making one book, check your local stationary/office supply house (Office Max, Office Dept, Kinko). They probably offer binding as a service. Other options are 3 hole punches and putting them into a binder (well, duh!). Or you can purchase rings (like key rings) that you open by pulling apart at a clasp. They come in a variety of sizes from | | 1/2 inch to 3 inch. I get mine at my local teacher store or stationary/office supply.Another way: Punch 2 holes in the pages and thread yarn or pretty ribbon through the holes & tie it off on the cover with a pretty bow/knot. Punch the holes traditionally on the left side or at the top to be a little different. If you want to preserve the book put together like this, I suggest laminating the pages so they do not tear out as easily. Another option would be to put each page into a plastic page protector before threading ribbon through the 3 holes. These are pretty basic ideas, but I hope they helped!
