I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I have notes from a book I was browsing at my local Borders (so sorry, I don' know the name but it had to do with brain activity & teaching).Studies indicated that music PRIMES neural pathways, especially music with simple subsets of music (tones, beats & rhythms). Mozart's music has indicated that it's sweet strains activate the brain. Suggestions: *Mozart's Sonata for Two Piano's in D Major before testing, upped scores. *to introduce new material, play classical (cira 1775-1825) or romantic (1820-1900)music *Baroque (1600-1750) is supposed | | to be good for review at the end of learning sessions (supposed to help with retention) *If you want to increase writing focus, play Baroque (in a major key). It's highly predictable, less distracting. *To increase energy level: "Rocky" theme, "Jump" by Van Halen, "Let's Get Excited" by Pointer Sisters *For relaxation, nature sounds or soft piano.Hope this helps Good luck on that Masters!
