What I was thinking, also.

Clip to ScrapBook
I feel the same way. I can see that my kids are making connections through many of the group, and hands-on activities that I do. They love school. And I also rely on my reading series. Being self-contained I have 35 lessons
per week to plan. And, face it, it does make it easier.

However, our school is test score crazy. The other teachers have always maintained high test scores -- I don't want to "bring us down" because I am not "practicing" every day for the test. But these teachers are wonderful and know that experience is the best teacher. I know that between traditional and newer methods, I probably

fall in the middle and incorporate both.

I quess what I am asking about is the pressure to score well on the "test." It is putting so much stress on me.
