Charlie and the chocolate factory

I read this one year and then had an classwide incentive program. We earned enough "chocolate bars" to go from the bottom of the chalkboard to the top. The bars were simply pieces that I made. When we reached that goal, we watched the movie. But, then, we made a Venn diagram to compare the movie and the book. The kids loved finding out what the movie left out and most said that they like the book better. PS We also designed Willy Wonka wrappers for our favorite candy bars the kids brought in and ate them during the movie. Enjoy!!
