Same Spelling Dilemma

I totally sympathize with your frustration over spelling. Personally, I like dictation sentences, so that's not my problem. I am trying to do individualized spelling lists where spelling buddies study together and test each other. I am going nuts with this plan. The "good" spellers are acing the test, and the struggling ones never get any new words because they can't master the old ones. If you can't master the old ones, you get them back again, soooooo . . . . I posted a spelling help request here on ProTeacher recently. I got some really good ideas, but I still can't decide what to do. Here it is beginning of second quarter, and I am still struggling with how to do spelling! Bummmer! Just don't give up, CR. There's got to be an answer out there somewhere.
