parent conferences

I have taught third grade for 8 years, and I would never have a conference without work samples from each subject. Many parents simply do not understand what their child is doing in your room. This is your opportunity to show parents what their child has learned. I also always talk about strengths and weaknesses. Parents need to know that you recognize what areas their child can improve in. Of course, for every weakness you mention you also need to give a concrete example of what you can do to help their child improve. I hope this is helpful. Sorry it's so longgggggggg!
