Anne, I certainly would not have asked the question if your post had been the only time I read an entire email
It never once entered my mind that you did not know how to use capitalization and punctuation or that you would ever write without using them in front of your students. I just wondered if I was the only person who was feeling way too uptight about such things. I am a fairly new teacher but not so young a person. Sometimes I see things a little differently than others. I remember when using poor grammar was not an option, and now it's the mode. I guess I just wondered if conventions of our written language would become passe as well. Anne, I apologize for posting my question right above yours. As soon as I clicked on "Post Message," I wished that I had waited to post it somewhere else. But . . . then it was too late. Sorry.
