Looping is wonderful..to me. I looped with 2nd graders and the first day was fantastic. Behavior was already under control, they knew my teaching styles, rules, etc. We were able to start working immediatley! I spent a lot of time over the summer putting together a 3rd grade curriculum, but it was well worth it as I did not have to spend time in the begining of the year with assesments , getting to know the students, behavior management etc. I am all for looping and hope to continue. Good luck! By the way it was my first year teaching!
