Literature Response Journals

Hello. I use the LRJ in my classroom of 5th graders. The LRJ just stands for Literature Response Journal. The kids will read a couple of chapters and do a response based on a format that is listed on a poster in the front of my room. The entries get better and better as they go on chapter by chapter. Eventually, I will eliminate the poster and see what they come up with. Here is the format I came up with:While I was reading, I noticed_________________
(This can alos be the VIP's of the chapter are____ I felt______________when______________________ Some connections I can make are__________________ Some questions I have about the story are________ I predict_______________________________________ I hope this helps!
