rainy days
By Sandy

Clip to ScrapBook
I have a Rainy Day Box filled with games, toys (I teach K), and activities I've gathered from thrift stores, yard sales and students. Every year just before Thanksgiving (I live in So. Cal. so our days are dry until sometime in Dec.) I send home a note asking parents to set aside any items they think appropriate for the classroom when they are cleaning out their kids' rooms in preparation for the upcoming gift-giving holidays. Gotta make room for all that new loot! I get some pretty cool stuff and since we only take it out on rainy days, it retains it's novelty all year.
