We use the Open Court series in our school. Two hints- You do not have to do every activity in the book. You will run out of time and cover too much too little. In the decodeable books, sometimes I have the students circle words that start with a certain letter, look for patterns, for periods, and circle blends. This helps the students with their word recognition and is fun for the students.
