gifted student

Clip to ScrapBook
The problem copying from her text book is a classic sign of dyslexia. Does the student have trouble with rhyming, telling time, sequencing, decoding in isolation, confusing small words, letter or word reversals, holding her pencil, fine motor skills, or penmanship?

Try using colored highlighter tape on her textbook to help her with the things she needs to copy. A transparent blue or pink overylay on her books may help. Write on the chalkboard with colored chalk - each spelling word in a different color for example. Give her several colors of highlighters to highlight word banks on worksheets.
