I Agree With Maggie!
By G.M.

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi

I had a very challenging class last year with respect to discipline behavior problems. One student was ODD, another had an anger managment problem, and one was ADHD that was taken off his meds by his doctor. These
3 hated each other. I thought I was losing my health (mentally, physically, & emotionally). I sure wish that I had read "Tools for Teaching" BEFORE I ever began teaching.

This book points out typical mistakes that the majority of teachers make on a daily basis. This book makes so much sense! I am certain that you will get A LOT from it. It is outstanding.

I use what I have learned

from the book every day.
(I currently sub because I was not sure I every wanted to teach again after last year.) What I have learned in this book gives me hope that you can do a lot to alleviate behavior problems in the class room. The author, Fred Jones, does not profess to have all the answers; however, his research, I think around 20 years or more, has identified what effective classroom teachers do and shares it in his book.

Another thing I like about the book is it is humorous. You can't help but laugh in parts.

GET THE BOOK! you won't be sorry. Oh, there are some good PAT ideas too in the back of the book.

Sincerely, G.M.
