great britain unit
By Julie Whitney

Clip to ScrapBook
I actually taught in London for a year and school was very different. I can't believe you have to teach that in gr.2. Anyway, I saw a great bulletin board with a double-decker bus. There were passengers on the bottom level and when you pulled a bunch of strings, passengers popped up on the second level (a string was attached to each head). You could do lots of things with queen for a day, compare vocabulary (sweets=candy etc.), London bridge, make a castle, telling time on big ben, different currency. Good luck with the unit.
