student council

I have never been in charge of student council, but our current leader has done several things I'm impressed with. During elections the students make posters. They must have their posters checked and signed on the back by 3 teachers to insure accurate spelling and appropriateness. It also gives primary teachers a chance to see the upper grade kids again and encourage them. Also, so more students can participate, sometimes we have two co-presidents working together. Our student council runs a student store (one day a week ) with school goodies (pencils, erasers, folders, etc.) and the money goes into the student body fund.
