Adminstrator? What administrator??

This is my third school in 9 years (just married, no kids, love to see the country types of moves) and each one has been different.

School one, in Alaska, I saw my principal 2-3 times a week. She was a total freek and
my wife and quickly left for fear of our careers and sanity.
School two, in Missouri, I saw my principal almost daily. She had each specials teacher do a "student of the week" type of thing where she was always passing these things out. That and she was always talking to the kids, earning their respect, always interested in them as little people.
School three (where I am now), in

Iowa, I don't see our principal unless she wants something. She doesn't talk with the kids, she rarely visits the classroom, and just isn't much of a leader. We have a very strong, opinonate staff, but it's just nice to have someone you can count on to crack the whip on some kids (and teachers)!! The story that I always tell about her is my first year here, I didn't get evaluated until the second to last week of school in the middle of May. She just was "too busy" or "didn't have the time" or "couldn't meet". BLAH!!!!

It's nice to get that out of my system!
