I am also feeling very discouraged. I spent four weeks in complete agony as I didn't feel like I could do ANYTHING right. Kids weren't doing work, I was buried in paperwork, and I felt like I was always fighting with them. Last week was a great week, though. Kids began to show glimmers of hope. Then this week things are falling apart again. It doesn't help that the principal is SO unsupportive that my frustrations with him leave me feeling discouraged about the kids. Like others have said, I feel like I'm spending all my energy dealing with behavior problems, and nothing ever gets learned.
