The main thing I had a problem was the enormous amount of paper work that had to be done, on my own time, that really had nothing to do with class work. You know, attendance records, professional development, admin. reports,
forms to fill out for everything from a sick day to requesting supplies. They expect all this to be done and for you to teach, grade papers, find teaching materials, include technology, average grades, stay for mtgs., handle obnoxious parents, tolerate obnoxious students, and then something that's done in KY is evidence folders. You have to have examples of student work to show you

are teaching core content, but be sure to hand back all papers on a timely manner or parents will complain. All I was prepared to do was to walk in and teach subject matter, NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT ALL THE PAPER WORK! Some of which I think is un-necessary.
