Hi, I am a first year 3rd grade teacher and the one question you ask that really sticks out in my mind is the things they don't teach us in college. I have been comfortable with the course material of my students from day one. What I am learning to develop is: classroom management, dealing with parents, just the homeroom routines in general, and transitions. They never really discuss those little important and essential parts of the day that are so crucial!
