TEACHERS ARE HUMANS

I agree that we as teachers have to set an example for our students...but we are not superheroes (even though we all work 12 hrs, grade papers, cook dinner, clean the house and constantly plan for out classes)we are HUMAN. And as long as we act in a professional manner and get things done...then what we do (to an extent) is our business!!! However, by signing on to be a teacher, you also become sort of public domain!!! Unfortunately society is very critical (although this day and age it seems as if anything goes)but I think that we all have an understanding of what is appropriate and what is not. Just do your job and then the parents can go complain about something else!!!
