Does it need to be said...absolutely! Parents never will. Admin is too busy pointing fingers to do so. Politicians have their heads so far up their butt they can't say it. But it's absolutely true. About half of my students (7th, 9th and 10th) are lazy, they are entitled, if they get called on their behavior they either point fingers or lie about it. (The fact that they won't own their crap annoys me the most. I have a really difficult sophomore but at least he owns up and apologizes and won't point fingers at others). One of my sophomore girls said last week that the problem with some of the boys in her class is that if they get in trouble at school, they won't get in trouble at home but if she or her younger brother ever get in trouble at school they get it three times worse at home. She is never in trouble but her little brother can be a turd so I can see him getting it at home. Our new superintendent of the state wants to increase the number of days we go to school. so we can increase test scores. But extra days won't change the fact that a lot of these kids are lazy, entitled, irresponsible kids.
