Meetings!

My board has a huge intranet. Teachers all have access to it, but not everyone uses it. My principal said she will only communicate memos, announcements, forms, etc via email. She asks us to check it once a day. Many people
complained until we realized that it virtually replaced every meeting! Incidentally, some of us have classroom access, but not all. The library is just down the hall, so it's no excuse. We can also check it from home if we download the Firstclass software.
Also, when she first started this, and when she was met with resistance, our principal would send out emails like "first 10 people

to respond get cake at lunch " or "first one to respond will have their yard duty covered by me for a week". It's been over a year, but all but one os us agree that this is 1000 times more efficient. (Also the people who can't be bothered to check it or are computer phobes can convince a friend to print verything off).
