ur dilemma
By Karen

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't know whether u have tenure or not, but if u do perhaps a call to ur union might be in order. Even if you do so in private, they may be able to give you some advise/support. They probably 'know' the principal as others
probably have suffered as you have. In our district we have a harassment policy. Basically says that no one should have to tolerate words or actions which put us down. The remedy is that the harassment stop. Simple, but effective. Another approach is to practice a script with a supportive friend. Something like: 'When you speak to me like this, I don't feel supported. As you are
the leader of our school, can I count on positive support from you? We are all here to work for the betterment of the children.' Neither of my suggestions may work depending on who u r dealing with and ur circumstances. One thing you can count on, though, the principal will eventually move!
