math grading

I teach 4 sections of 5th grade math. I do not grade homework, but I do give credit for doing it. I check off who has their homework and put a check mark later on in my grade book. I give an extra half point for each completed homework to the final grade. I grade only work completed entirely in class, quizes, and tests. When a test or quiz is given, usually the majority of the kids know the skill. I teach 87 students a day. This drastically cuts down on the amount of grading. hope this helps.
