carpet squares
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
Having defined boundaries for "carpet time" does make a difference for those wiggleworms. Here's a similar idea--This year, I went to a fabric store and bought several yards of vinyl fabric with felt backing--the kind you
use for table cloths. I cut the vinyl the size of carpet squares and wrote a child's name on each piece with a paint marker. Then I attached pieces of velcro on each corner. (The stiff side of the velcro attaches directly to the carpet.) I prefer this to carpet squares because it allows for assigned seats which can easily be changed. Vinyl is pretty cheap this time of year and there
are some really cute patterns. The kids love their seats and are taking special care with them because they want to take the seats home at the end of the year.
