Success!
By Sharon D.W.L

Clip to ScrapBook
Thanks for your help. I got a "Trying Shoe" from the K teacher. It fits over the child's foot or shoe and has laces to tie. There is no tongue to get in the way either. I gave it to the child having trouble and each day
I'd model it for him and then he had to "try" to tie it three times. After the three tries I'd model it again once more and praise him for his persistance. He now has no trouble... I sent home a Happy-Gram the day he tied it independently. He was so happy! I plan to check all the students to see if they can tie. I noticed him because he has tie up sneakers, however many of the children
have velcro. The few I've checked can't tie yet either so I know we need to practice. I'd love to know about that book that another post mentioned.
