Hang in there! By Chris

I'm a first year teacher, doing Early Childhood Spec Ed, which is NOT my major (just regular ECE)and I know eacatly how you feel. The paperwork is amazing and just trying to maintain control, let alone try to work on achieveing IEP goals...well...what can I say! I feel that all I do is crowd control sometimes! Hang in there, try to delegate some things, if you can, to your EA's. I made a list of students that have IEP goals that are to be met in the next month or so, listing what these goals are. I told my aides to help observe and document times that they have seen these goals met, and to keep these | | in mind when working with the kids & "slip them in" when no ones looking. (IE: when in the bathroom, count the stalls, water faucets, handles, etc. You just checked their ability to count w/1:1 correspondence!) The National Guard thing...just know that there are LOTS of prayers going out to our service people and their families. God Bless!
