An add on. . .

Tanya's idea reminded me of something I did in a drawing class. The teacher divided a painting (we did American Gothic, you know, with the stoic farmer and wife?) just as Tanya explained above but numbered the pieces. We
each chose the drawing utensil we wanted (pencil, charcoal, pen and ink) and drew our part to scale. Then when we were finished, we put all the squares together to make a patchwork print. Looked cool.

Another idea is to make mini-museums. Use shoeboxes as the museum. After several projects, like printmaking with styrofoam trays, mosaic collages with bits of magazine or construction

paper, paintings, etc., the students can mount their mini-works in their museums. You could teach the basics of each form and students could do a regular size and a mini-size.

Just a couple of wacky ideas. Wish I could teach art!!
