Meetings
By Grace

Clip to ScrapBook
Yes, I think we are all in the same boat. I arrived in school at 7:45am and left at 4:30 after a meeting I had forgotten about. Unlike you I find the only way is to bring work home. Imark about two sets of books a night and
sometimes, like last night make worksheets for four different reading groups. I am always in school early because this is when I get the most peace. We had an inservice course a few years ago about stress management. One of the ideas in the notes we received was not to attend a meeting if their was not going to be an outcome. Looks good on paper!!! I know I'm not being very helpful to
you. Does everyone feel the same? Can you ask for a compromise? We are given a monthly planner of events so at least we know in advance when the meetings are. Could you ask for this and ask that no meetings be arranged without a certain amount of notice? I have lost count of the number of times when I have say and listened to a load of garbage. Luckily our boss is very approachable and if it someone from outside the school taking the meeting, he will make sure they don't get another invitation. Try not to let it wind you up too much and good luck. Grace
