I'm so glad you wrote. I give so much to my teaching and students, and the parents have no idea what it entails. They have a very skewed view of teaching. I like the giving-jobs-to-the-parent idea. Have a bunch of stuff ready right then and there. That's great. Don't lose any more sleep over this. Do something to get your mind off this situation. If you're doing great at teaching, keep plugging along.
