4th Grade Reading
By Leanne

Clip to ScrapBook
It is possible, like anything you have to take the time to set it up in your classroom. I do Literature Circles and if you can find any reading on this, it will certainly help. So in a class of 33, you would probably have
six reading groups and all would most likely be at different levels and reading different novels. During Lit Circles, they would go with their group, read the assigned reading, then they would have book talk, a discussion of what they read and then they have role sheets to be filled out. Roles such as: Summarizer(write a summary of what they read and any key points), Discussion Director(Make
a list of questions they had from the reading), Connector(Make connections from the book to real life), Illustrator(Draw a picture of a scene they read about) and Vocabulary Enricher(Any new words that were learned). Good Luck!
