"reading issues"
By Tabitha

Clip to ScrapBook
We also have a new reading series by Harcort this year and I have only 6 out of 23 that read at 5th grade level. Most read at third grade and early fourth grade. In my sereis I use the Intervetion Readers with my 3rd grade leveled readers and still have them do the same activites that all the others do, but with a different story that is easier for them. We still do the same spelling, language arts, writing, and reading activities but I don't expect them to do as many problems or pages as the others do. I give them alternative responses to the reading, spelling, writing, and languae arts. My school is real big right now on Differetiated Instruction and thats what I try to do the best at for my low leveled readers.
