I just finished my student teaching with first grade last year. My teacher had her students make a class book to give to me. Each student wrote a page about somehthing they remembered doing with me. At the bottom of each page she included a picture of the student who wrote it. I LOVED IT! She also wrote a song about me to the tune of Jingle Bells. They had practiced it while I wasn't in the room. I had no idea they were doing this. I couldn't help but to cry. She also gave me a school sweatshirt and a variety of teaching supplies. She hid the gifts around the classroom and I had to find them. We played the game "hot or cold". The kids also had a great time with this. Hope this helps.
