Dear 4th Grade Teacher
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
We all have those days! I am not a new teacher, but I still walk out of school some days feeling like ARRRRGH! WHAT A DAY! Was it a full moon or something? What WAS it they served the kids in the cafeteria for breakfast--doughnuts
and sugar-sweetened cereal and chocolate milk? You never can tell what sets kids off. I do know that my kids are the worst on Mondays--behavior-wise. I guess that their routine has been disrupted--long weekend at home, then back in the school routine again, which is hard for many.

Go home and take a deep breath on these kinds of days. Walk at the mall. Visit Bath and

Body Works and smell all of those wonderful lotions and bath gels. Walk around your neighborhood. It's amazing how much therapy this is, how it clears your head and makes you forget and even make you think that maybe things weren't really all that bad after all.
