Why not do a readers theatre or drama piece? One that comes to mind is adapting the story "Wombat Divine" by Mem Fox (I think?) It is a beautiful Australian Nativity story. The children could make masks etc as an art and craft project. I also have a 1/2 and at the moment that is what I plan on doing. Although maybe it would be a little longer than 5-7 minutes. But I hope that will give you some ideas.
