great opportunity

Clip to ScrapBook
Jamie,
Yes, Halloween is certainly a complicated day, but what a great opportunity to show your principal that you are truly one of the greats. The reality is that your principal absolutely knows what kids are like on
Halloween. He also knows that there are many such "days" in the school year Consider: the first day, the last day, picture day, full moon days , assembly days, fire drill days, day after terrorist attacks days, open house days, .... the list goes on and on. In fact, there are probably more "days" with complications, than days where you have the opportunity to teach the perfectly planned
lesson to an orderly class eager to learn. So, the truly great teachers find a way to squeeze in teachable moments all the time, inspite of all the other distractions.

I think your principal will be impressed if you can take this evaluation on this day in stride -- recognizing the unique challenges, but that everyday has unique challenges.

Good luck!
