I'm in your shoes By Leigh

I understand teh feeling. I am teaching 7th- 12th grade and i am a first year teacher. I have already hacked off a veteran member of the faculty because I am covering things in Speech and her English class never covers. Basically,| I'm teaching and she's using the poke and puke method, poke in the information on hopes that the students will puke it back up on a test. However, I was very concerned that I was doing something wrong, so I went back to my college professors. They have assured me that what I, and I'm sure this applies to you, am doing is the latest and best teaching that I can possibly do for my | | students. I have stepped on her toes, but I know my students are benefiting from my teaching, just look at their grades. You are not being too sensitive. You just love your students and you want what is best for them. Keep up the hard work and don't back down. You love your kids and that makes your the superior teacher. Don't let her see you sweat. I reported my incident to my principal and I documented EVERY incounter I have had with this teacher. Therefore, if this gets ugly, and it probably will on my end, I have covered my butt. You may want to try that too. We first year teachers have to be careful, because their are still things we need to learn. Good Luck! I feel your pain!
