I would find others with whom you can get along to share ideas, vent, and critique each other. My first year of teaching in GA I had a mentor who was a mentor by name only. I find a wonderful person on my grade level who was also a first year teacher. We learned more from each other than a seasoned teacher could have told us.Find a buddy.......someone you feel comfortable with.
