I know this reply is late, but I just ran across your post. I can't believe someone would actually interrupt your lesson and contradict you in front of the students. That is so unprofessional! If it were me, I'd go to the principal and tell them in no uncertain terms that no visitors - college professors included - are welcome to interrupt my class. It's not showing respect for you as a teacher. The first year or two is always murder. (I'm getting through my fourth one now.) Cheer up! It should get better!
