Clip to ScrapBook
At my teacher orientation they said every teacher wonders if they are doing the right thing around the fourth or fifth week. I felt the same way a couple weeks ago. I had been working 60 plus hours a week for four weeks. My husband and kids wondered if I still lived here. I have a great mentor teacher who told me I needed to cut back on my hours. She said not to grade every paper, let the kids grade some or just put a check in the grade book for doing it. This has helped me to have more time for planning, plus more hours sleep. It also seems to help the kids at school, because they have more to do and have to stay focused to correct their papers. Hope tomorrow is better for you. It did get better for me in week 6. Good luck.
