Resignation
By Yvette

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't leave it off your resume or transcripts!!! It is a learning situation that can be to your benefit! Be honest. Explain that the school structure made you feel uncomfortable. You felt as though you were not allowed to
be creative. Explain that you like to explore and try new things and the structure did not allow you to expand on lessons that you felt would be beneficial to the kids as well as enjoyable. Be sure to let your interviewers know that flexablity is what you are looking for. It could be really beneficial in the interview process in helping you find a school that is right. Just explain you
felt as though you didn't fit in that environment. They will appreciate your honesty. Any school that gives it's teachers the flexability you are looking for pride themselves on it and will be sure to let you know they are. I would die if I couldn't do creative things. One year I taught astronomy to 3rd graders and my whole class camped out on the school football field to stargaze! Mom's and Dad's loved it too! There are schools out there like mine! Just be honest!
