Clip to ScrapBook
I had my 3rd graders make a "Windows about Me" poster, adapted from a friend's idea with some additions of my own. We folded large construction paper (about 11" x 14") into eigths, traced the folds w/marker or crayon, and used each window to write about various aspects of the students and their lives. One was for name, age, birthdate, and finishing the sentence "When I grow up,...". Another box was about family, another on favorite school subjects, and one was finishing the sentence "I'm good at lots of things, like...". Students also illustrated every box that had room for a picture. This was done for Open House, and the kids enjoyed making them as much as the parents liked seeing them!
