Math Day
By Kimberly

Clip to ScrapBook
For P.E. the kids could have a paper plate frisbee throw and measure the distances. Or a cotton ball shotput. They also could estimate and then check out the actual number of times they can jump up and down in a minute
or jump rope, or anything.

For art the kids could use geometric shapes to draw a picture or the teacher could display a picture and challenge the kids to draw it using ONLY geometric shapes. Or they could making a counting picture where they trade when they are done and the other person can count the number of bricks on the house they drew or the number of apples on the tree. Give the

kids a blank picture and let them guess how many beans it will take to fill the picture--then do it. I've done this to fill in the Alamo with pinto beans and a rainbow with Skittles.

For music, the kids can learn to count the beat of the music --fractions (quarter note, half note, whole note). Sing number songs--The Ants Go Marching...

This is just what came to mind. It sure sounds fun. Have a great day!
