Speaking out
By Grace

Clip to ScrapBook
I have read all your advice. I haven't tried the stick idea which sounded interesting, but I have tried Sue's ideas to the letter and this I have found to be most effective. In a lot of cases, this is just another form of attention seeking and from the child's point of view it works. Some children don't worry if the attention is negative or not. I was advised to try ignoring a really disruptive child, by the head of a behaviour unit. IT IS HARD!!!! believe me, but after a little while it really worked. Then the child gets your attention and praise. Good luck. Grace
