decimal lesson
By Kristin

Clip to ScrapBook
I usually have the students do their name in decimals. I copy off a paper that has 10x10 grids (about 2 inches each). Then they use one grid per letter. They color in the boxes to make each letter. Then they count the squares they filled in and write it in decimal form. I have them cut out the grids and glue them on color paper and write the decimal values on the back. Some students can add them up, too. I have an easy sample alphabet on the overhead, or they can be more creative and create their own.
