Writing Conversation

An idea I saw our API use once was to read a short story to the class. After reading the book, she paired up the kids to discuss the book. However, they could not converse verbally. They wrote their comments to each other using a Q and A format. The kids LOVED it! (Not sure if this is what you're looking for)
