    I bought a wand and I'm not at all impressed. It doesn't really make much of a sound to me. I've been using chimes for many years. I like them a lot better than the wand. I just bought a new set of chimes from Really Good Stuff.com and I can't wait to get them.

    Other attention getters:
    Teacher: Zip it, lock it
    Students: Put it in your pocket! (students repeat both lines one more time) -- My ST did this one last year and it worked wonders for her! I'm trying it this year!

    Teacher: 123 Eyes on Me
    Students: 456 Fingers on lips!

    Count down slowly with fingers in the air: 54321 Silence (whisper this and put finger on lips)

    This is a great one for the carpet:
    Criss Cross applesauce
    Hands in your lap
    sit like a pretzel
    snap, snap, snap (or clap clap clap)
