Aid no help
By OM

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jayme,

I tend to agree with everything others have suggested and it sounds like you have tried most of them. I would like to suggest one more thing and you can think about it or pitch it. From your original message,
it sounds like every teacher she has served under has had the same opinion you have drawn. I am sure this aid knows everyone dislikes her and therefore she really has no reason to change. You have indicated that you have spent time talking with this lady and things seem no better. My suggestion would be that you watch closely for the times she does things right and that you thank her
each and every time she does so. (I know it is her job to do things right but none of us are right all the time.) I have found that when I did this the individual came around much faster and looked for the thanks on a regular basis. Keeping track of what she does in the classroom is a great idea, but please keep track of the good things as well as the bad. If she does one good thing today and you thank her, I can almost guarantee she will try for two or more tomorrow. (Not only that, she will wonder what the heck you are up to and you will start to drive her nuts.) Honestly, it works. Good luck. OM
