Where in the World?

Using Vista Print, I make a postcard with my photo and a background from a local or foreign site where I have visited during the summer. It can be from a local park or a famous place.
The title is "Where in the World is.........(your name)?" On the front they will print for free, so I add, "Bring this card with your guess the first day of school." In class we make a graph of the guesses. Since I do not have names/addresses of students until the day before our Welcome Back Open House, I mail the cards to be waiting for the students when they return home from the one hour intro. There is great excitement and some wild and/or accurate guesses the first full day, and the children love it!
