tell your husband that you understand and you'll try to cut back but that teacher's with experience have told you that the first year you teach is the longest! My husband figured out that in my first year i had put
in enought hours by Febuary 1st (starting about Aug 23) to have worked one full 50 week year @ 40 hours per week....and I still had to teach the rest of Feb, Mar, April, May and 2 weeks in June. I actually thanked him for keeping track because when ever anyone says oh you teachers have such a gravey job...out of work by 4 all holidays and the summer off...must be nice to work so little.

I can answer with my husband says....

My advice...pamper your hubby when you can...take a weekend off and treat him to dinner, dancing and a hotel for a night...get him cards that say thanks for being there when I need you or for being so understanding...my husband loved getting the cards which I mailed to his work and says that now that I work less hours (got this job down pat - ha ha) he actually misses those cards!
